ACHIEVEMENTS OF 2025 AT THE GYMNASIUM AFFILIATED WITH NAKHCHIVAN STATE UNIVERSITY
The following represents the principal accomplishments attained by the Gymnasium affiliated with Nakhchivan State University during the 2025 academic year:
1.All 36 graduates of the Gymnasium in 2025 were successfully admitted to higher education institutions with distinguished results. Of these graduates, 23 received diplomas with honours; 22 achieved scores exceeding 250 points, and 34 surpassed 215 points, with the overall average score among graduates standing at 251 points.
2.In the Grade IX graduation examination administered by the State Examination Centre on 27 April 2025, our students once again demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Among the 61 students who participated: 1 student — Ruqayyə Huseynli — achieved a perfect score of 300 points, thereby ranking first across Nakhchivan; 48 students scored within the 250–300 point range; 10 students within the 200–250 range; and 3 students within the 100–200 range. In total, 47 students were awarded diplomas with honours.
3.In the Chemistry–Biology Olympiad dedicated to the memory of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, our students achieved the following results in the field of chemistry: 2 students secured third place, and 3 students received incentive awards.
4.In the Republic Subject Competition: 11 students excelled in Mathematics, 9 in Natural Sciences, and 4 in Computer Science.
5. Our students participated successfully in the SASMO International Olympiad, earning: 3 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, and 2 honorary distinctions.
6. In the 2nd Nasreddin Tusi Physics–Mathematics Olympiad, students of the Gymnasium achieved the following placements: 1st place — 1 student; 2nd place — 1 student; 3rd place — 2 students.
7. Based on the results of the gymnasium entrance examination held on 22 June 2025, 60 students were admitted to Grade VI.
8.Our students participated with distinction in the AMO International Olympiad, achieving the following results: 1 gold medal (Grade VI); 4 silver medals (2 from Grade VI, 1 from Grade VII, 1 from Grade X); 11 bronze medals (4 from Grade VI, 3 from Grade VII, 2 from Grade X, 1 from Grade XI); and 5 certificates of participation (2 from Grade VI, 3 from Grade VII).
9. Furthermore, in the final round of the 3rd Nasreddin Tusi Physics–Mathematics and Informatics Olympiad, our students secured: 1st place — 1 student; 2nd place — 2 students.
10. A Student Scientific Society was established at the Gymnasium, marking the first initiative of its kind in Nakhchivan.
11. Additionally, an innovative computer program entitled "BioScript", authored by Huseyn Tahirov — an eleventh-grade student at the Gymnasium affiliated with Nakhchivan State University — has been officially registered with the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In recognition of this work, a Certificate confirming exclusive rights has been presented to both Nakhchivan State University and the author.
